Wanting to update your wardrobe? It's important to find outfits that make you feel good as well as showcasing parts of your personality. Let's talk about how you can dress to impress.
When we shop with friends, we tend to pick clothes that they may approve of. Or we avoid trying on that new skirt because we are scared of what they will think. Also, you can feel as though you are wasting their time if you take too long to try on new things. Take a few hours to yourself and spend some time getting to know what clothes suit you best.
Don’t Always Buy a Statement Piece
Before you go out and buy a statement piece, you need to make sure that you ask yourself if this is going to bring out the best version of who you are. Sure an animal print coat may look great, but is it something that you will wear more than once? If it isn’t then, then opt for something that won't be stuck at the back of your wardrobe for years on end.
Don’t Buy for Quick Trends
Some trends come..and then they go. Very quickly. Those dresses may look beautiful now, but ask yourself whether you can still see yourself wearing it in a year. If you shop for timeless trends, you know you will be able to get the most bang for your buck.
Consider the Smaller Details
Even the smallest details can make all the difference to your outfit. Intricate hats, scarfs and more can bring out your style, so it helps to make sure that you are putting a look together that works. Try and make sure that those earrings complement your hat before handing over the credit card. Of course, you will also want to make sure that you are taking the time to look at the colours of your outfit and the accessories you have as well. Sometimes different colours do work together, and sometimes items of the same colour don’t.
